My First Post

I finally made the commitment to have a blog. This blog will share my art and a little of my life. I am on a learning curve so things will probably change a lot as we go. Here we go if I don't start some time I may never start.
 Welcome to my world and I would like to show some of things that I have made in the past. I am busy finishing a bust for fundraiser in Bombala. Only a couple of small things to do and then I will take some photos before it goes to Bombala, and maybe some one buys it. The bust , pictured below, was the one I did for Busting Out in Merimbula and it was sold.

Roses and Lace

I painted the bust and then stamped the script and music on to white tissue paper with Archival ink. Then I torn around the script and music and adhered to the bust using glue. The roses are all made using the small flower from Tim Holtz's Tattered Floral die and using Tim's technique. I coloured the flowers once cut with different colours of Distress Ink and finished with Perfect Pearls brushed over the top. They were glued on at the same time as the lace.Small strings of pearls were inserted around the flowers.

This was a Altered Spoon I made last year for a swap. It was fun to make, alchol ink to colour the spoon. Then an image sitting on a bed of beads with the words and beads added on a wire twisted around. She looks like she might have a secret.

Queen of the Nile Card

Baby Boy Card

Here are two cards from last year. The Queen of the Nile is stamped on polished stone background using alchol ink and then matted and then mounted on the same background run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.








The Baby Boy Card is a lovely stamp, now discontinued, which has his arms and legs separate on the stamp, you stamp, colour, cut out and assemble. Thank you Helen for the lend. He makes lovely baby cards as he can be posed.











Now I feel like I have achieved something on this terribly hot day in Merimbula. We have been for a paddle in the lake with the dogs to cool down, I laid in the backyard and read to keep cool and finally sat here in front of the computer with the fan going.
